Google Goggles

Several years ago one of the most popular search engines was Ask Jeeves. While remaining popular with many users and recently selling for a couple billion dollars – it hasn’t held a candle to Google. At speaking engagements I usually ask the attendees what search engines they like to use. Overwhelmingly, the answer is Google. It has also become a verb, just “google it”.

The obsession with Google rankings is at an all-time high. Website owners that wear Google Goggles continually check to see where their website is ranked. Sometimes checking stats multiple times a day. “Why am I not on the first page of Google? My Google rankings have changed, what can I do? I’m paying for Google Adwords so why isn’t my website on the first page? “ are just a few of the questions I hear all too frequently.

Good Googly Grief! If you really want to know all about Google, go to their website. All the answers to your questions are there and gobs of information to fill a library. Happy reading! It’s risky and dangerous to bank your business website on the google gods. When they decide to play fruit basket upset – you could be the fruit that will be very upset. Plan ahead and get your website out there among the other search engines, directories and linked with other businesses.

Now, I have a question for you. Why and how do so many websites succeed without a first page Google ranking? Those of you wearing Google Goggles will need to remove them to answer this question.

These savvy website owners are not obsessed with googling. Instead, they spend their precious energies on attracting their ideal clients. Their primary focus is reaching out to their target audience. What are they doing? How can they possibly see clearly without Google Goggles? The top five answers are:

1. Ezine(Yes it can be your very best marketing tool)
2. Offline marketing (yes the old-fashioned phone calls and postal mailings really work)
3. Reciprocal Linking (still the best way to reach your target audience and as a bonus get a higher search engine ranking)
4. Cross marketing (working with other businesses is a fun and profitable way to get more clients)
5. Keyword phrases (more important than ever – choosing and placing proper keyword phrases)

You can do it too! Take off the Google Goggles and see the big wide world of opportunities waiting for you.

Yes, I know it's not actually Thanksgiving until tomorrow but I plan on eating all day long, being lazy, and staying far away from my computer... so I had to post this today ;-)

Take This Post Seriously...

Hello faithful biz tips readers,

How are you? I hope all is well, and that you're working
hard on building your online business...

I'm writing to you today to see if you've heard of this 21
year old named Anik? He's been around for a couple of
years now, went from being a complete newbie to becoming a
huge success online. All while, he's still a full time
student in college! Well, if you haven't heard of him,
listen up, he can really teach us A LOT, he sure has taught
me...

I've been talking to him lately, and I've just been blown
away - he's one smart marketer. You know how they always
say, "Don't re-invent the wheel..." It seems that Anik
missed that day in class, the guy just invented a whole new
system for making money online...

See, Anik says that being in college, he didn't have the
time/money to invent his own product, so he decided to make
money as an affiliate. Now, we all know that making money
as an affiliate is not as easy as it sounds! So, he worked
on it for a year or so, finally according to his own words,
"by golly, he had it! Why not be a merchant AND an
affiliate?" Confused? So was I, that is until he explained it to
me...

He calls it the "Affiliate Upsell System," and it's just one
small part of how he makes a killing online. You can see
what he teaches by going here:

The Affiliate Classroom

He just used that system to make over $10,000 in just 60
days working about 1-2 hours a day, and he continues to do
it! To top it off, he invented a whole new system to train
others on how to do just what he did...

When I spoke with him, he kept telling me how important it
is to have "Step by Step" training to become successful
online. I couldn't agree with him more - as I am sure you
agree also...Then, he showed me his new system and how he's
training hundreds of new students every month on how to
make money using his system.

I was skeptical, but now I'm just impressed.
I've never seen a training system like his - and we all
know how long I've been around and what I've seen...

The training system took him more than 7 months to develop,
it's completely revolutionary. I got so excited to see it,
I was just about to e-mail you, then he stopped me!

He explained to me that there was a catch - the catch is
that he's strict, he only wants serious students who really
want to make money online and have a great dedication to
learn his system. Anik has very limited time, that's why
he's very cautious about how he spends it.

But, you know me, I'm relentless - not only did he finally
agree, but I even got him to sweeten the pot even more and
give you an even better deal than he gives his own
students!

For a limited time, Anik is accepting new students into his
classroom for only one measly dollar! That's right, just
$1.00!

As his student, you will have 100% access to his new
training system, his expert teachers, and most of all, his
revolutionary method of earning an online income.

There's a heck of a lot more, but I'd end up writing a book
if I explained it all here. That's why he's set up for you
to read more about his training for only $1.00!!

The Affiliate Classroom

This offer can't last much longer... I mean, a buck? Ya
gotta be kiddin' me!

Listen, I've seen this kid and his training.
I've heard his students, this guy is the real deal - if
nothing else, get to know more about him, he's definitely
going places - I guarantee it...

So, make sure to visit:
The Affiliate Classroom

I worked really hard for this, so please take advantage of
it...because you will NOT be sorry!

Dedicated to your success,

Trent Brownrigg

P.S. - Just for visiting his site and signing up for his
newsletter - you can get a free subscription to the new
Affiliate Classroom Magazine he's released - it's
absolutely excellent!

Affiliate Marketing – And the Learning Curve

When you put up your first website – you have to admit that you are pretty green to the ways of the Internet World. You think that once your website is up, and you have put your links in place, you will be in the money. I, and I am sure many, would love that to be true. Just think how many Super Affiliates we would have. I will give you a small sampling of what to truly expect.

The Begin of the Begin

You will be excited at first, and you will have a sense of pride in your accomplishment. Granted, it is no small feat to getting a website up and online. But this is just the beginning of your Internet Marketing experience.

Once you have your website up, you should be asking yourself -- where do I begin, or, what do I do now? If you are short of cash, which, in most cases people in the beginning are -- you can begin by:

1. Writing articles
2. Optimizing your site for the search engines
3. Putting Adsense on your site

All this takes time and work. But, when you first begin, you do have time to optimize, to write articles, and to put adsense ads on your site. Why? It has been said that for the next six months or nine months, Google, and possibly, the other search engines, may put you in the Sandbox. Some say the Sandbox exists, some says it does not. Whatever it is called, you will see a degree of dormancy in your site.

My own thinking is that there may be a pre-set time of six months before you see a rise in your unique clicks – I know I did. I feel that there may be several reasons for this:

1. It’s a great way to protect the Internet community against unscrupulous sites – I figure that these sites have a lifespan of six months before people give them the boot. It only takes one person to feel the blunt of a scam, before talk in the online forums begins.

2. Websites go up and go down daily. The search engines are looking at saving themselves time and money. If you are still on line after six months or nine months, you’re paying your dues, and they may figure you are serious about maintaining a business online.

What Do I Do During That Six or Nine Month Period

First, and foremost – since I have supplied you with this information – do not get frustrated and throw in the towel. Granted, at first the only clicks you may see is your own, but that will change.

Second, start positioning yourself, so when your dormancy with the search engines ends, you have the quality content, and the quality products to begin to fly. That means, writing articles, getting your name out to the masses, and learning to utilize Adsense. And when you have spare change, try your hand at advertising on Adwords.

In the beginning your learning curve is just out of the starting gate – take this time to read, buy appropriate ebooks, experiment and research. All are important to moving your learning curve to the expert level.

To conclude, a website is just a small part, but an important part, of becoming an Affiliate Marketer. The other important elements, is persistence, hard work, and marketing. And finally, if you still have the passion after the initial exhilaration of becoming an online entrepreneur wanes – then you’ll make it.

My Apologies, I Almost Made a HUGE Mistake...

Hey biz tips readers,

I'm letting you in FIRST before I make a major announcement
that will be the SHOCK OF THE YEAR to the internet
marketing community...

http://work-at-home-jobs-iowa.com/su.html

I'm so jazzed about this I almost majorly screwed up and I
owe you an apology!

For the last few months, I've been quietly helping to
launch what I believe to be the absolute best personal
development training company in the world. This new company
also offers BY FAR the most lucrative affiliate program
I've ever seen...

In fact, I've barely done anything and I'm making several
thousand a month in passive residual income. I even have
several people on my team from around the world who are
already making a full-time income each month.

Here's where my apology comes in...

Recently this company did something that has NEVER
been done before...

In just 3 months, they've become the #1 Most Visited
Personal Development Website on the Internet!

Check It Out Now:

http://work-at-home-jobs-iowa.com/su.html

Incredible!

They beat out every other company in a 64 Billion Dollar a
Year Industry!

They passed up TonyRobbins.com, BrianTracy.com,
ZigZiglar.com, JimRohn.com and all the other self-
improvement sites on the Internet that have been around for
years and years! ...Even the famous Trump University.

This is MAJOR news...

In my consulting with the company, I've been helping to
launch a major advertising and publicity campaign that will
launch with banner ads on all my sites as well as thousands
of other sites on the net, they're rolling out a major
radio campaign along with a massive email campaign that
will go out to millions of people around the world...

We're rolling this campaign out at the end of the month and
because of my confidentiality agreement with the company I
haven't mentioned it to ANYONE...

The owner of the company however said to me last night...

"Trent, why don't you let your readers in on this before we
launch?"

I immediately felt guilty because I hadn't even thought of
that myself!

That's why I need to apologize... I should have been
begging him to let our readers in first!

I can't tell you the name of the company in a public post
like this but you'll see everything when you go through the
site..

GO HERE NOW:

http://work-at-home-jobs-iowa.com/su.html

This is EXTREMELY time-sensitive...

My advice is to drop everything and do this right now
because the people who jump on this post first, will get
positioned ABOVE those who wait. (And will earn the most
money because of the customers I put below you.)

I'm not going to make a big sales pitch here because when
this hits, you'll see it everywhere anyway.

But if you want the inside track, and you want to be
positioned above the masses of people who will join this
company over the next 30-60 days I'll just say this...

GO HERE NOW...

http://work-at-home-jobs-iowa.com/su.html

You can get positioned NOW, at the top of my team, BEFORE
we roll out this campaign.

Dedicated to Your Success,
Trent Brownrigg

P.S. - I know some of my readers have already been lucky
enough (read: SMART ENOUGH) to get in on this. If you are
one of them then Congratulations to you!

The Next Level Of Marketing - Multilevel Marketing

If you’ve ever dreamed of running your own business from home, whether on a full or part-time basis...and are good with people but have very little business knowledge, then Multilevel Marketing (MLM) may be for you. This is especially true if you have a minimal amount of start-up cash.

MLM companies provide a product or service to the consumer via a network of “independent” distributors, who usually work from their home.

Reputable MLM companies also provide a low start-up cost, all the training you need, advertising in one form or another, and supply you with a product line-up or service to sell. They also allow you to recruit other distributors and make commissions on their total sales.

The United States Federal Trade Commission, however, cautions anyone from joining a MLM company that pays you for each distributor you recruit, as opposed to only paying a commission on the total sales they generate. This is called ‘Pyramiding’ and is illegal.

The U.S. FTC also encourages you to thoroughly research a MLM company before signing on the dotted line, and not to sign anything under pressure, but instead, take time to consider all the details. You can check out their Multilevel Marketing Caution Web Page at: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/alerts/pyrdalrt.htm. On this page, they also list seven checks you should do before making your decision whether to join or not.

Research is always an important component of any business venture and considering a distributorship with a MLM company is no exception.

Searching the Internet under “Multilevel Marketing”, will return a recipe of results ranging from Government Agencies, General Information web sites, and encyclopedia-type sites, to a host of disgruntled, former MLM distributors. People who are “pro” MLM don’t write web sites on the topic because they’re usually too busy building their network.

THE GOOD SIDE

Here are some of the benefits of finding a reputable MLM company:

- They have an established and very marketable product line or service, and strive to improve or add to the existing line-up.

- Recruiting new distributors will be a streamlined process, and the company will not be involved in Pyramiding.

- As a company, they will have a solid track record and good work ethics.

- No experience will be required. A good MLM company will provide one-on-one training, as well as motivational seminars and a full compliment of training materials. After all, in Multilevel Marketing, when one succeeds all succeed.

- A reputable MLM company will be “Family” rated, meaning that crude conduct is not tolerated.

- They will provide an excellent bonus plan with many incentives for those who excel.

- Well-established MLM companies should be able to provide you with resource material to aid you in not only product sales but in recruiting

- They will have minimal start-up fees.

- A strong support system.

- You will be led by example.

- Healthy team competition.

- There will be a successful business and marketing plan in place that can be successfully duplicated by others, assuming they apply themselves to the plan and are motivated to succeed.

- There will exist the possibility of full-time or part-time commitment.

These attributes would definitely belong to an ideal Multilevel Marketing Company, however not all reputable companies excel in all these areas. Some companies will be better in certain areas than others. Do research on the company. Don’t just accept the motivational hype used by most MLM companies in order to recruit.

Some MLM distributors are so highly trained that they have a “come-back” for almost every statement you make or concern you have. This would be considered a ‘high-pressure’ invitation to join. Always take time away to cool off – especially if you’re excited by what you heard. Sit on your decision for a while and do research. If the company is good, they will still be there when you wake up tomorrow; and yes, you will get a follow-up phone call.

THE DOWNSIDE

While the MLM model can be a great tool to achieve what you want in life, it would be remiss not to mention the downside.

- It is easy to get ‘taken’ by a disreputable MLM company. Do your research.

- If you plan on developing a network – a “downline” – it will cost you more money than you realize and take you longer than you think – although this is slight compared to the cost and time required to start up a traditional business. You will spend a lot on resource and training materials that you will end up giving away to prospects and to your downline distributors.

- You might spend a lot of money on fuel for your vehicle, meals out, hotel rooms or neck surgery from sleeping in your car.

- Some companies insist on a minimum monthly order to maintain your distributorship.

- Some companies only pay you for recruiting other distributors and not on their total sales volume. Beware, as this is called ‘Pyramiding’ and is illegal in most countries.

- While you may initially be led to believe that the products sell themselves and that you can make a lot of money with little effort, beware. Most businesses, whether they are traditional, online, or MLM, take a lot of energy and effort to make them successful. Consider a rocket: 60 – 80% of the fuel is used just to raise it a few inches off the ground.

- Be ready for a lot of rejection. Approximately 80%+ of the people you contact will turn you down.

- It is easy to get caught up in the ‘dream’ and overspend because, “Winners always find a way.” It is also easy to be pressured into ‘willingly’ spending beyond your means.

- It could very easily become your life’s vocation, with everything centered around it. Some distributors even refuse to attend family weddings etc., because it falls on the same date as their MLM seminar.

- Also, like most businesses, when you begin you will be spending much more than you make.

The final judgment: Most business entrepreneurs face the question, “How much am I able and willing to lose if it doesn’t work?” That is the question you have to ask yourself before you get into Multilevel Marketing.

And of course, what do you want from life and what are you willing to do to get it?

If you enjoy helping others succeed so that you can succeed, are willing to take the risks associated with being in business for yourself, even on a part-time basis, and are willing to put in long days, then Multilevel Marketing may just be the tool you are looking for to achieve your business and life goals.

Here’s to success!

Internet Marketing Sales Tip

Today's home business tip is another headline tip you can use to grab your readers attention and make more sales!

Here you go...

The "Humor" headline grabs your prospect's attention simply because of the fact that there might be something funny in your product. Everyone loves a little humor but be very careful in the use. What one person thinks is funny may offend someone else.

Irony is the best humor to use. Joking, other than tongue-in-cheek can be very counterproductive. What makes people laugh? Some cannot see the humor. Your product could gain credibility if you are slightly depreciating.

Example:

Saying something like...

"You Might Be Addicted To Internet Marketing If You Start Calling 'TV Dinners' -
'PC Dinners'..."

It gets attention and it has humor to it!
